FRAG 5 Retro-Fit Program
October 2006 – February 2007 King Bag and Manufacturing was involved in the FRAG 5 Retro-Fit program. We produced fabric hinges and fabric door handles for 54,000 Humvee units. The existing hinges needed to be replaced due to the threat of IED explosives. The retro-fit allowed both doors to swing open fully and quickly allowing the soldiers to exit the vehicle if it were hit by an IED explosive.
DAAP program at University of Cincinnati
King Bag has worked with the DAAP program at University of Cincinnati since 2010. We provide sample fabrics and sewing techniques to students to allow them to research new and creative solutions utilizing industrial fabrics.
